The Canon Professional Gadget Bag 1EG was designed with enough room to hold two camera bodies, 7 to 10 lenses, and flashes, as well as an assortment of film, batteries, and other necessities for the professional photographer. Featuring reinforced, padded pockets and compartments with room enough for equipment appropriate for most situations, the 1EG is a serious bag for the traveling photographer. Practical and attractive, the 1EG is a great way to protect your equipment from moisture and dust as well as the wear and tear that results from excessive handling.
Customer Review: Canon camera bag.
Excellent bag. Roomy. Plenty of space for several lenses and a couple of camera bodies and other accessories.
Customer Review: Eval of Canon "Professional gadget bag !EG
On the positive side, this is a generally well built bag. It protects its' contents. It carries well. It is priced lower than competitive bags. I did removed the tripod straps, because my tripods are too large to be safely attached.
In the end, only time will tell how well this bag is constructed.
Initially and on the negative side, while it advertises the ability to carry 2 bodies and 10-12 lenses, It is nearly full with one body attached to one of three zoom lenses with attached lens shades, one flash unit, one light meter and one Gary Fong light sphere and attachments (plus a few other odds and ends).
Personally, I prefer not to advertise that I'm carrying cameras and lenses, so I wish the Canon symbol were much more subdued or even removed.
I wish a large pocket in the bag could expand (unzip) as necessary like unto my last bag (Targus international Traveler, bought in 1991). I would still be using this bag, but Canon "L" series zoom lenses and sunshades are much more bulky than ATX lenses. I hope that helps.
